National Makeup Artist - YSL Beauty

A Day in the Life
As the National Makeup Artist for YSL Beauty, you will represent the brand’s unique blend of couture luxury, youthfulness and edgy innovation.
In your role, your core responsibilities include elevating YSL Beauty’s artistry and brand presence, fostering the skill and expertise of the makeup team through dedicated training, and driving commercial growth by leveraging eventing and point of sale activities.
This pivotal role within the YSL Beauty brand team requires an individual who embodies the brand’s edgy, daring, confident and effortlessly cool DNA, whilst consistently demonstrating empathy, a high sense of service, and an approachable and inspiring leadership presence.
Key responsibilities and expertise required:
• Drive national retail eventing strategies across YSL Beauty boutiques and top Department Store doors, to generate sales through in-store events for both new and existing loyalty clientele.
• Drive exceptional customer service and experience in retail doors.
• Partner with the National Education Manager to deliver the education strategy and to inspire new and existing Beauty Advisors and customers with the latest makeup techniques and trends.
• Identify training needs within the field team and work with the National Education Manager to create a strategy for these gaps.
• Lead the local makeup artistry teams at major brand PR activations and high-profile influencer events in collaboration with the Communications team. You will be required to liaise with key influencers and press.
• Create engaging artistry content across branded social channels (Instagram, TikTok) to showcase product performance and build a dedicated community.
• Collaborate with the YSL Beauty global team as required to enrich education assets on product launches and upskilling.

We Are Looking For
You bring an eye for beauty trends and the commercial drive to turn artistry into loyalty. You bring:
• Artistry & Application : Mastery of professional makeup techniques, luxury client service, and trend forecasting.
• Retail & Eventing Acumen : Proven track record delivering retail animations, driving in-store traffic, and meeting sales targets.
• Training & Coaching : Strong ability to deliver engaging masterclasses and upskill diverse retail teams.
• Social Media & Content Creation : Skilled in creating short-form digital content (TikTok, Instagram) and representing brands on camera.
• Stakeholder Collaboration : Ability to partner cross-functionally with PR, Education, and international brand marketing teams.
